Ah, yes. The time has come again for another Mercury Retrograde (Jan 30-Feb 20, 2021)! This is one of the more common astrological phrases that I see used by the collective. Whether individuals have introduced themselves to the world of Astrology or not, surely at one point or another, one has come to hear the phrase, Mercury Retrograde.

I have found a new working-relationship with this time offered by the Cosmos! I take this now as an invitation for re-working and restructuring myself, or anything I have currently found myself engaged with. Thus I’d like to share these insights with you!

When is Mercury Retrograde

Once every four months or so, Mercury gives us an illusion from Earth to appear as it is moving backwards in the sky. Mercury is our fastest moving planet in the Solar System and orbits the sun in only 88 days, compared to Earth’s 365 sidereal period. So, when Mercury’s trajectory brings it past Earth, but both planets on the same side of the Sun, we get the illusion as if we were passing a car on the highway. One car moving faster as the other appears to be moving backwards. Mercury can orbit the sun 4 times in a year compared against the Earth’s orbit to the Sun, so we see this quite often.
